Dashboard Guide

The dashboard is a visual workspace for every sandbox you own. Most flows available in the SDK and CLI have a dashboard equivalent: plus team administration, batch runs, billing, and settings.

Sign in at the dashboard home to reach the pages below.

Sandboxes

The default landing page after sign-in. Lists every sandbox on your account with live status, uptime, image, and quick actions (open, stop, resume, delete).

  • Click a sandbox to open the full session view with terminal, file tree, and agent chat.
  • Switch workspace scope to view personal or team sandboxes.
  • The "New Sandbox" button opens the provisioning wizard.

New Sandbox

Provisioning wizard. Configure:

  • Image: default agent runtime, universal, or a qualified custom image reference.
  • Resources: CPU, memory, disk.
  • Environment: inline environment variables. Account secrets reach a sandbox through a startup script's injected secrets, or through secrets on an SDK or CLI create.
  • Startup scripts: bash scripts that run on boot (see Startup Scripts below).
  • Access and scope: SSH key selection, personal or team ownership, and optional egress policy override.

The wizard validates each step before submission and streams progress live once the sandbox starts provisioning.

Batch

Run the same agent prompt across many sandboxes in parallel. Use this for evaluations, fleet-wide refactors, and regression sweeps.

  • Pick a set of sandboxes (or create them from a template).
  • Write one prompt or task.
  • Watch progress stream in per-sandbox panes with aggregate success/failure counts.

The same flow is available through client.runBatch in the SDKs.

Templates

Save a configured sandbox as a template and reuse it. Templates capture:

  • The image and installed tooling.
  • Files written during setup.
  • Environment and startup scripts.

Use templates to standardize the starting state for agent runs, eval harnesses, or team onboarding.

Secrets

Encrypted key/value pairs injected into sandboxes at boot. Manage them once here instead of shipping keys in code.

  • Create, list, and delete personal secrets from the UI.
  • Team secrets are managed from the Team page; saving a secret with an existing name overwrites that value.
  • Reference secrets in startup scripts and agent prompts via ${MY_SECRET}.
  • Secrets are scoped to your account; team roles control access.

Startup Scripts

Bash scripts that run before the sandbox is marked ready. Use them to clone repos, install dependencies, or set up language versions.

  • Scripts are ordered: each must exit 0 before the next runs.
  • Environment variables from Secrets are available in startup scripts.
  • Failed startup scripts mark the sandbox as error; logs are captured in the session view.

Team

Invite collaborators and manage roles. Supported roles:

RoleCan viewCan edit sandboxesCan manage teamCan manage billing
OwnerYesYesYesYes
AdminYesYesYesNo
MemberYesYesNoNo
ViewerYesNoNoNo

Invitations are sent by email. Users who accept an invitation join your team and share its sandboxes, templates, and secrets.

Billing

View your current plan, usage, credits, and resource rates. From this page you can:

  • See Active Sandboxes, Sandboxes Created, Messages Sent, API Calls Today, Balance, and Resource Rates.
  • Open the platform plan page at id.tangle.tools/app/plans to upgrade or downgrade.
  • Open the platform billing page at id.tangle.tools/app/billing to top up credits and manage billing.

For plan changes that aren't available self-serve, contact support@tangle.tools.

Egress

Egress is outbound traffic from a sandbox, counted per calendar month (UTC). Inbound traffic is free.

PlanIncluded each monthBeyond the allowance
Free100 GiB per accountRefused, never charged
Pro2 TB per sandbox$0.05 per GB
Team2 TB per sandbox$0.04 per GB

On Pro and Team, every sandbox has its own 2 TB; allowances are not pooled across the account. On Free, the account's sandboxes share one 100 GiB cap. Once it is reached, new sandboxes and prompts are refused until the next month, and nothing is charged. TB and GB are decimal: 1 TB is 1,000 GB, and 1 GB is 1,000,000,000 bytes. GiB is binary: 100 GiB is 107,374,182,400 bytes.

The same terms are published as JSON at GET /v1/pricing/egress, with no credential required.

Settings

Account-level configuration:

  • Profile: profile and account controls.
  • Authentication: multi-factor authentication setup and email preferences.
  • API keys: managed at id.tangle.tools/keys. The in-app shortcut opens that surface directly.
  • SSH keys: stored public keys for sandbox access.
  • Danger zone: permanently delete your account and all associated data.
